General Mao Island will build a runway of about 2000 meters, where activities such as training for the landing and takeoff of US aircraft carriers and carrier based aircraft will be carried out. In order to complete the project by March 2030, construction will continue on weekends and at night. In addition to two runways, there are also plans to construct mooring facilities on the island that can accommodate large escort ships.
